Reusable Crate System

Less packaging. More reuse.

We use durable, reusable crates to deliver supplies to many of our customers, helping reduce our reliance on single-use cardboard boxes and other packaging materials.

How it works

We deliver your supplies in our distinctive purple and black crates, then collect them on a subsequent delivery or when we are next in the area. The crates are returned to use time and again.

Why it matters

By reusing our crates, we can reduce packaging waste and make better use of the resources we already have.

We love seeing our crates come back to us, knowing that we and our customers are working together to reduce unnecessary waste.

At Dorset Supplies, we believe that small, practical changes can make a meaningful difference. From reusing delivery crates to giving wooden pallets a second life, we look for ways to reduce waste, use resources responsibly and make our day-to-day operations more sustainable.

Our approach is also personal. Adriana’s experience as a scuba diver, witnessing the impact of plastic pollution on marine life, helped inspire our commitment to doing business differently. Today, we continue to look for practical ways to reduce our environmental impact, working together with our customers and suppliers.

Circular Pallet Reuse

Giving pallets a second life.

We receive wooden pallets from our suppliers every day. Rather than sending them for disposal, we work with some of our customers to give these pallets a second life. During our deliveries, we pass the pallets on to customers who can reuse them to transport their own goods.

By keeping these pallets in circulation, we help reduce waste, make better use of existing resources and keep reusable materials out of landfill.

It’s a simple, practical way for us and our customers to work together towards a more sustainable future.
